This is an ideal tour if you have one day in Athens and you don’t want to miss a thing! We shall start with the highlight, Acropolis sacred hill, the No1 sightseeing of Greece and an UNESCO monument. We visit the ancient Greek and the roman agora, the Library of the most beloved roman emperor, Hadrian. By this point you will have gain all the wisdom of Greeks and Romans in a day. We will explain everything about the religion, mythology, politics, architecture, construction, women, slaves, rituals of the two.
In Plaka, the cutest old district of Athens is ideal to have a break for souvenirs, a gelato or/and a “souvlaki”, the street food of Greece or taste the superb Greek food in a great taverna. After having some fun in Plaka, we keep on to visit the New Acropolis Museum, where the finds of the Acropolis and Parthenon are kept. The museum is the most visited of the country. At the end of the tour we visit the Arch of Hadrian and which areas and eras the arch divides. At the end of the day we may visit a typical roman temple, the Temple of Zeus, where we may compare the Greek with the roman architecture. The closure of the tour is the interesting choreography of the “Euzones”, the guards of the Parliament.
This tour is designed to be a small “marathon”-walking tour so that you see as much as possible. It’s subject to change of course and can be easily a van tour.
